On the occasion of his participation in Dial-A-Poem Switzerland, poet Henri Michel Yéré is invited by the Maison Rousseau et Littérature for the Afrique Monde evening, organised in collaboration with MAMCO Genève.

An Ivorian and Swiss poet born in 1978 in Abidjan, Henri Michel Yéré has published several poetry collections, including Mil Neuf Cent Quatre Vingt-Dix (Panafrika) and La nuit était notre seule arme (L’Harmattan), both released in 2015 and recognised through various literary prizes and selections. His book Polo kouman / Polo parle (Éditions d’en bas, 2023) was shortlisted for the Grand Prix Afrique de l’ADELF and received the International Rotary / PEN Club of the Francophonie Prize in 2024.

He holds a PhD in contemporary history and lives in Basel, where he works as a lecturer and researcher. He also works as an independent consultant on issues of inclusion, equality and diversity for cultural and research institutions.
