On the occasion of the Journées du Matrimoine (day celebrating women’s heritage), the MAMCO highlights the rehabilitation of women artists and the deconstruction of historical gazes. The exhibitions Sylvia Sleigh and Refaire collection offer a unique space for reflection where the female gaze subverts established codes: nudity is no longer an object of male desire, but a celebration of sisterhood and freedom. Here, women transition from the status of passive models to active subjects of their own history.

To celebrate this heritage, the museum is offering guided thematic tours this weekend, inviting visitors to rediscover art through a powerful and liberated feminine lens.
