Ça m'inquiète toujours ces sirènes

Émilie Parendeau (born in 1980 in Ambilly) holds a National Postgraduate degree in Plastic Arts obtained in 2008 at Ensba Lyon. She is also a member of the research group Art contemporain et temps de l’histoire (ACTH).

Émilie Parendeau focuses on interpreting other artists’ works–not bringing her own concerns into them but rather actualising them depending on the condition of their appearance. In taking over the process that accompanies their materialisation, she brings in variations that aim to activate those works of art in the present. She has realised most of these activations within the framework of the project A LOUER and in different exhibition venues.

For her MAMCO show, she developed a specific project based on the display of works of the museum's collection and interventions in the exhibition spaces.
