Focus on the cast-iron plaque by German artist Martin Kippenberger. Embedded in the museum’s entrance floor, it is one of the institution’s foundational works. Created in 1994 for MAMCO’s inaugural exhibition, it pays tribute to the MOMAS (Museum of Modern Art Syros), the fictional museum conceived by the artist.
