Filmed in the summer of 2025, this video shows the museum building on the eve of its renovation, completely emptied of its artworks and furnishings. Like a ghost, the voice of Julien Fronsacq, Chief Curator, recounts the history of this singular architecture: from the transformation of the former factory to the museum’s opening in 1994, through the successive layers of exhibitions that have shaped it, the nomenclature of its spaces, and the works now physically absent but still present in the memory of the place and its visitors.
