Focus on Cercles concentriques via le rectangle, an in situ work by Felice Varini created in 1994 for MAMCO’s opening. Painted directly onto the walls and floor of the staircase, this geometric intervention unfolds within the space and can only be perceived in its entirety from a specific vantage point. Characteristic of the artist’s approach, it explores perception, the movement of the gaze, and the relationship between painting, architecture, and viewpoint.
